
"Buried Hearts" And "Undercover High School" Kick Off Close Ratings Battle With Neck-And-Neck Premieres
Two new dramas got off to promising starts last night!
On February 21, both SBS’s “Buried Hearts” and MBC’s “Undercover High School” aired their highly-anticipated premieres in the same time slot.
According to Nielsen Korea, “Buried Hearts” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.1 percent for its first episode, while “Undercover High School” trailed close behind with an average nationwide rating of 5.6 percent.
“Buried Hearts” tells the story of a man who manages to hack a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.4 billion) and the man who kills him without knowing he’s been hacked—thus accidentally losing the entire 2 trillion won. Park Hyung Sik stars as Seo Dong Joo, the leader of the Daesan Group chairman’s Public Affairs team.
Meanwhile, “Undercover High School” is a comedy action drama about a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down Emperor Gojong’s missing gold. Seo Kang Jun stars as Jung Hae Sung, an ace NIS field agent who disguises himself as a student at Byeongmun High School as part of a secret mission.
