Park Hyung Sik Sheds Tears While Locked Up At Hong Hwa Yeon's Wedding In "Buried Hearts"

SBS’s “Buried Hearts” has unveiled a heartbreaking glimpse of its next episode!

“Buried Hearts” tells the story of a man who manages to hack a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.4 billion) and the man who kills him without knowing he’s been hacked—thus accidentally losing the entire 2 trillion won. Park Hyung Sik stars as Seo Dong Joo, the leader of the Daesan Group chairman’s Public Affairs team.

On the first episode of “Buried Hearts,” it initially appeared as though everything was going perfectly for Seo Dong Joo, who was confident that he was doing well both in his career and in his love life. After choosing his girlfriend Yeo Eun Nam (Hong Hwa Yeon) over an easy road to success in the workplace, Dong Joo dreamed of a happy future with her.

However, at the very end of the episode, Dong Joo was shocked to see Eun Nam marrying another man. Devastated by this unexpected betrayal, Dong Joo fell to his knees in shock and horror as a group of men overpowered him and held him back.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming second episode, Dong Joo has been dragged to an enclosed space at the venue. While he initially throws himself at the door in a passionate attempt to get out, Dong Joo ultimately accepts the fact that he has been locked up and collapses on the floor in defeat.

Heartbroken and unable to believe what he’s just witnessed, Dong Joo sheds tears as he struggles to process the situation. As Dong Joo had no idea that Eun Nam was the granddaughter of Daesan Group chairman Cha Kang Cheon, there was no way for him to foresee that she would choose a strategic arranged marriage over a future with him.

The “Buried Hearts” production team teased, “In Episode 2, which airs today, Seo Dong Joo’s emotions will fluctuate wildly. Combined with a new crisis in which Seo Dong Joo will find himself, this will have a major impact on Seo Dong Joo’s future actions.”

“As this is an important scene, actor Park Hyung Sik displayed incredible focus while filming, and he captured Seo Dong Joo’s pain both powerfully and in fine detail,” they continued. “Please look forward to it.”

The second episode of “Buried Hearts” will air on February 22 at 10 p.m. KST.
