GOT7’s Jinyoung is about to begin a fight to prove Roh Jeong Eui’s innocence on “The Witch”!

Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “The Witch” is a mystery romance about a woman who distances herself from the world due to tragedy and a man who refuses to give up on her.

Previously on “The Witch,” Lee Dong Jin (Jinyoung) made up his mind to solve the mystery behind the strange pattern of death that plagued Park Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui). During his freshman year of college, he wrote a report for his statistics class attempting to disprove the theory that Mi Jeong was a witch, and he also worked multiple part-time jobs in order to buy Mi Jeong study aids so that she could apply to college.

However, just like before, Dong Jin was one step too late. When he returned to his hometown over vacation with everything he’d prepared for Mi Jeong, he belatedly learned that she had left the village. To make things worse, Dong Jin’s professor pointed out that his report was critically flawed and therefore useless—and when Dong Jin went through a checklist of key questions posed by his professor, it only became clearer than ever that Mi Jeong was connected to all of the accidents that had occurred around her.

But when Dong Jin’s terminally ill mother Mi Sook shocked him by revealing that she had been the one to pressure Mi Jeong to leave the village, she also gave him the courage to believe in Mi Jeong again. Consumed with guilt, Mi Sook asked Dong Jin to apologize to Mi Jeong for her if he ever saw her again.

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming fourth episode, Dong Jin sets out to prove once and for all that Mi Jeong is not a witch. After running into Mi Jeong again for the first time in 10 years, Dong Jin believes their encounter is destiny—and he quits his job in order to focus on his mission.

One photo captures Dong Jin looking for a new apartment, while another shows him back in his room at his childhood home. In order to look for clues to what caused the many accidents that kept happening in Mi Jeong’s vicinity, Dong Jin returns to their hometown, knowing the battle ahead won’t be an easy one.

Director Kim Tae Kyun remarked, “Mi Jeong distanced herself from other people because she was afraid of situations where someone might die or get hurt after approaching her. Dong Jin knows that if Mi Jeong found out about his journey to uncover the truth behind the pattern of death, she would try to stop him out of fear that someone else might become a victim. So he has to come up with a theory and prove it discreetly, without her noticing.”

The next episode of “The Witch” will air on February 23 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
