Chung Su Bin Is Framed For An Attack She Endured In “Friendly Rivalry”

Chung Su Bin faces a new crisis as she is framed as the attacker in “Friendly Rivalry”!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Chung Su Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

In episode 10, the situation takes an unexpected turn when Woo Seul Gi, the victim of Kim Beom Soo’s (Kim Sang Ji’s) stabbing rampage, is framed as the perpetrator.

The newly released stills show students from Chaehwa Girls’ High School being questioned by police about the attack. On the day of the school festival, Beom Soo overdosed on drugs provided by Jo Ah Ra (Chae Seo Eun), leaving her in a delirious state. She then attacked Joo Ye Ri (Kang Hye Won) and Seul Gi with a weapon. As the investigation unfolds, authorities may also uncover drug distribution at Chaehwa Girls’ High, further intensifying the tension.

The photos below capture the students’ varied reactions. Yoo Jae Yi (Hyeri) remains calm and confident, exuding charisma even in front of the detective.

Joo Ye Ri, with a bandaged hand, looks frustrated and wrongly accused, while Choi Kyung (Oh Woo Ri) appears irritated as she undergoes questioning. Their statements about the incident could shift the course of the investigation.

Another photo shows Woo Seul Gi, recently discharged from the hospital and wearing an arm brace, facing Kim Beom Soo. The contrast is striking—Beom Soo sits with her parents and a lawyer, while Seul Gi sits alone, looking somber.

Beom Soo’s stabbing incident was witnessed by many and even caught on video. However, uncertainty remains about how she will turn the case around and frame Seul Gi as the attacker and how Seul Gi will handle the crisis. Viewers are also eager to see how Yoo Jae Yi will respond, as she has always stood by Seul Gi in times of danger.

“Friendly Rivalry” releases new episodes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12 a.m. KST.
