The upcoming weekend drama “The Potato Lab” has dropped an exciting new highlight teaser!
“The Potato Lab” is a new romantic comedy drama set in a rural potato research institute. The story follows Kim Mi Kyeong (Lee Sun Bin), a researcher whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, and So Baek Ho (Kang Tae Oh), a cold and principled corporate director. When So Baek Ho unexpectedly enters Kim Mi Kyeong’s world, the two find themselves entangled in a whirlwind romance.
The teaser kicks off with the fiery Kim Mi Kyeong standing her ground against those who look down on potato researchers. However, her world is thrown into disarray when So Baek Ho, the no-nonsense Director of Organizational Reform at Wonhan Retail, suddenly arrives at her lab. Expecting him to be an out-of-touch executive who only knows how to “use a calculator,” Kim Mi Kyeong is caught off guard when he turns out to be surprisingly competent at everything—from having extensive knowledge of potatoes to effortlessly attending parking and even carrying stacks of plates with ease.
As their constant bickering and competition escalate, an unexpected shift occurs—So Baek Ho begins to admire Kim Mi Kyeong’s unwavering dedication, even when her efforts go unseen or unrecognized by others.
Their growing dynamic doesn’t go unnoticed, as the entire village starts picking up on their undeniable chemistry. Kim Mi Kyeong’s best friend Lee Ong Joo (Kim Ga Eun) playfully remarks, “You two are radiating peak rom-com energy! You’re destined to fall for So Baek Ho!”—hinting at the romance brewing between them.
