Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Chung Su Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

Previously, Yoo Jae Yi (Hyeri), Seul Gi, and Choi Kyung (Oh Woo Ri) rushed to a club after receiving a call from a mysterious person who promised to reveal Yoo Jae Na’s (Chu Ye Jin’s) location. At the club, Seul Gi saw Jae Yi meeting Nam Byung Jin (Youngjae), while Choi Kyung, searching for the caller’s identity, encountered Joo Ye Ri (Kang Hye Won).
As tensions rise, key figures tied to the incident come together. Jae Yi, the daughter of Yoo Tae Jun (Kim Tae Hoon), is both Jae Na’s younger sister and the daughter of the surgeon who operated on Woo Do Hyuk (Lee Won Jae). Seul Gi is the daughter of the late Do Hyuk. Ye Ri, acting under Tae Jun’s orders, attempted to steal Do Hyuk’s phone. Choi Kyung, aware of the medical malpractice lawsuit involving Tae Jun and Do Hyuk’s family. Meanwhile, Byung Jin unexpectedly met Jae Na at the Chaehwa Girls’ High School festival.
In episode 12, the story reveals how these characters ended up at the club, who called Jae Yi, and new details about Jae Na. As these revelations unfold, new relationships form among them, building anticipation.
With Jae Na at the center of the mystery, Jae Yi receives a message about her whereabouts. She and Seul Gi rush to find her, but will they succeed?
“Friendly Rivalry” releases new episodes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12 a.m. KST.
