Lee Chae Min Is A Cynical But Caring Student In Upcoming Drama "Crushology 101"

MBC’s upcoming drama “Crushology 101” has shared a new glimpse of Lee Chae Min in his starring role!

Based on a popular webtoon, “Crushology 101” is a romance drama following the journey of college student Ban Hee Jin (Roh Jeong Eui), who is nicknamed “Bunny.” After her disastrous first relationship ends badly, Ban Hee Jin unexpectedly finds herself entangled with multiple handsome men that suddenly approach her.

Lee Chae Min will star as Hwang Jae Yeol, the student representative of Yein University’s visual design department. A talented student who dreams of becoming an art director, Hwang Jae Yeol may be a bit prickly and aloof, but he is a born leader with a tsundere personality who is beloved on campus. Because he takes care of those around him, he has even earned the respect of the younger male students.

However, due to an unforeseen incident that angers him, Hwang Jae Yeol gets caught up in an unexpected series of events.

Explaining why he decided to star in “Crushology 101,” Lee Chae Min remarked, “Because of my own college experiences, I was easily able to relate to the drama.”

Describing the character of Hwang Jae Yeol, the actor said, “He’s the cynical, ‘cold city guy’ type. He’s someone with abundant charms, from his tsundere personality to his fiercely loyal side.” Lee Chae Min added, “While filming, I realized that he was more innocent than I’d initially thought.”

As for how he approached his role, he revealed, “I tried to focus on the emotional distance that Hwang Jae Yeol feels towards the other students, including Bunny.”

Finally, Lee Chae Min concluded, “[‘Crushology 101’] captures the relatable heart-fluttering feelings of college students that everyone has experienced at least once, and there are many different emotions felt in the story. Please show the drama lots of love.”
