"Buried Hearts" To Reveal How Park Hyung Sik Returned From The Dead

Get ready to learn the secret of Park Hyung Sik’s dramatic return from the dead on “Buried Hearts”!

SBS’s “Buried Hearts” tells the story of a man who manages to hack a political slush fund account worth 2 trillion won (approximately $1.4 billion) and the man who kills him without knowing he’s been hacked—thus accidentally losing the entire 2 trillion won. Park Hyung Sik stars as Seo Dong Joo, the leader of the Daesan Group chairman’s Public Affairs team.

On the previous episode of “Buried Hearts,” Seo Dong Joo fought back against Yum Jang Sun (Heo Joon Ho) by hacking his 2 trillion won political slush fund. Unaware of this fact, Yum Jang Sun ordered Heo Il Do (Lee Hae Young) to kill Seo Dong Joo.

After Heo Il Do obeyed and shot Seo Dong Joo in the middle of the ocean, he unexpectedly found himself in a crisis when Yum Jang Sun cunningly made the missing 2 trillion won Heo Il Do’s responsibility. The episode ended with Heo Il Do crying out in despair, “Seo Dong Joo, come back to life!” and Seo Dong Joo seemingly responding by opening his eyes in a mystery location.

Considering that Seo Dong Joo was definitely shot by Heo Il Do and that he was pulled deep into the ocean after falling off the boat, it remains a mystery how he survived what appeared to be a successful murder.

In the upcoming fourth episode of the drama, the secret behind this mystery will be revealed. Newly released stills from the episode show an unconscious Seo Dong Joo lying next to some rocks on a beach as an unidentified man watches him—marking a return to the opening scene from Episode 1.

In the next photo, a soaked Seo Dong Joo crawls out of the beach at night, still dressed in his tuxedo. Although he has escaped with his life, Seo Dong Joo seems to be in pain as he clutches his wound with one hand, suggesting that he may not yet be in stable condition.

Sure enough, a final photo captures Seo Dong Joo after he once again loses consciousness and collapses on the beach in the pouring rain.

The “Buried Hearts” production team teased, “Episode 4 will tell the exciting story of Seo Dong Joo’s return from the dead, along with the pressure that the newly resurrected Seo Dong Joo places on Yum Jang Sun and Heo Il Do—and how these two men respond.
