“Friendly Rivalry” has shared adorable behind-the-scenes photos from the drama’s set!
Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Chung Su Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

With just four episodes remaining, “Friendly Rivalry” has unveiled behind-the-scenes stills of the lead actresses. In sharp contrast to the tense atmosphere of the drama, the cast enjoys a bright atmosphere on set, highlighting their perfect chemistry.
Hyeri and Chung Su Bin pose adorably for the camera, showcasing their close chemistry on set. In one photo, Hyeri is immersed in rehearsing her scene while holding her script, while another photo shows Chung Su Bin posing with a toy while filming a festival scene.
Kang Hye Won and Oh Woo Ri also showcase their friendship on set, taking a selfie in between filming. Their matching V-poses also highlight a different charm from that of their characters in the drama.
The production team shared, “Hyeri, Chung Su Bin, Kang Hye Won, and Oh Woo Ri put in great effort through endless conversations and discussions on how to portray each of the relationships between their characters. As a result, the story of the four [friends] from Chaehwa Girls’ High School is depicted even more realistically and vividly. We want to express our gratitude to the actresses who not only made the atmosphere on set bright with their overflowing energy but also showcased passionate acting, immersing into their characters the moment filming began.”
“Friendly Rivalry” releases new episodes every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 12 a.m. KST and will soon be available on Viki.
