Jeon Hye Jin Breaks Down Sobbing After Her Daughter Goes Missing In "Mother And Mom"

ENA’s new drama “Mother and Mom” has unveiled a suspenseful glimpse of its upcoming premiere!

Set in the cutthroat education hub that is Seoul’s Daechi neighborhood, “Mother and Mom” is a drama that takes a humorous yet thought-provoking look at the intense world of early childhood education and the pressures of private tutoring. Jeon Hye Jin stars as Lee Jung Eun, a working mom who asks her mother Yoon Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo) to give her young daughter rides to academies as she prepares for the “7-year-old exam” (an entrance test for top English-language academies).

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming first episode, Lee Jung Eun falls into confusion and despair after receiving an unexpected phone call from her daughter’s English academy. To her immense shock, Jung Eun hears that her daughter Seo Yoon (Kim Sa Rang)—who should be in class at the academy—has gone missing.

While Jung Eun is always nervously prepared for the possibility of hearing from her daughter while at work, this startling news catches her entirely off guard. After rushing out of her office, an anxious and worried Jung Eun wanders the streets in search of Seo Yoon. When she receives yet another phone call during her search, Jung Eun breaks down sobbing as she falls to the ground.

The “Mother and Mom” production team commented, “From the very first episode, viewers won’t be able to tear their eyes away from the daily life of Jung Eun, who laughs and cries and goes on multiple rollercoaster rides of emotion every day because of her daughter.”
