Jeon Hye Jin Talks About Wanting To Cheer On Working Moms Through Her Drama "Mother And Mom"

ENA’s new drama “Mother and Mom” has shared a new glimpse of Jeon Hye Jin in her starring role!

Set in the cutthroat education hub that is Seoul’s Daechi neighborhood, “Mother and Mom” is a drama that takes a humorous yet thought-provoking look at the intense world of early childhood education and the pressures of private tutoring. Jeon Hye Jin stars as Lee Jung Eun, a working mom who asks her mother Yoon Ji Ah (Jo Min Soo) to give her young daughter rides to academies as she prepares for the “7-year-old exam” (an entrance test for top English-language academies).

As she struggles to balance taking care of her 7-year-old daughter Seo Yoon (Kim Sa Rang) and working a demanding full-time job, every day feels like a battle for the overstretched Jung Eun. However, despite her busy schedule, Jung Eun is determined to get her daughter admitted to a prestigious elementary school no matter what.

According to the drama’s producers, Jeon Hye Jin gave a humorous yet realistic portrayal of a working mom striving to give her child the best education possible.

“As a mom who is very interested in education myself, I was drawn to the story,” said Jeon Hye Jin. “I want to cheer on all the moms who are doing their best. Even though we may veer off course a bit, and even though we may regret some of the things we did when we look back, I hope that watching ‘Mother and Mom’ will encourage them.”
