Watch: Survival Show Girl Group Center Impresses With Her Vocals On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the latest episode of “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of “APT. APT.” was revealed!

During the March 2 broadcast of the MBC singing competition, eight new contestants entered the ring to challenge the reigning champion for the throne.

In the third match-up of Round 1, “APT. APT.” and “Round and Round” went head-to-head with a duet performance of Kim Dong Ryul’s “Although We Say I Love You” (featuring Lee Sora).

After watching their performance, the celebrity panelists praised “APT. APT.” for her beautiful vocals, with several of them predicting that she was an idol. WOOAH’s Nana speculated that the masked singer might be a member of PURPLE KISS, while Ko Young Bae guessed that she might be a member of IVE.

Despite impressing the crowd with her singing, “APT. APT.” lost the round to her opponent by a difference of just one vote (49-50).

“APT. APT.” then performed a soulful cover of Lee Sun Hee’s iconic ballad “Fate” (from the soundtrack of Lee Joon Gi’s famous 2005 film “The King and the Clown”). Halfway through the song, she took off her mask to reveal that she was Jimin, the official center of CLASS:y—the girl group that was formed on the 2022 MBC survival show “My Teen Girl.”

Afterwards, Jimin explained that she had chosen to sing “Fate” because the song was different from her usual style and she’d wanted to hide her identity as much as possible. The audience was also surprised to learn that Jimin was only 17 years old.

When asked about her goals for the year ahead, Jimin replied, “Since I’m now entering my senior year of high school, I want to spend the end of my teenage years as meaningfully as possible. Also, during my activities, I’ve seen many senior artists with the name Jimin. I hope that in the future, when you hear the name ‘Jimin,’ you’ll also remember Won Jimin as well.”
