Based on a popular webtoon, “Friendly Rivalry” is a mystery thriller set at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top 1 percent in South Korea, where cutthroat academic competition takes place between the students. Chung Su Bin stars as Woo Seul Gi, a transfer student who becomes entangled in her classmates’ hidden ambitions—and the secret behind the mysterious death of her father, a former college entrance exam question setter.

Previously, Seul Gi uncovered key details about her father, Do Hyuk’s (Lee Won Jae’s) final surgery through Yoo Jae Na’s (Chu Ye Jin’s) diary. With help from Jae Yi (Hyeri), she retrieved Do Hyuk’s X-ray from Tae Jun’s (Kim Tae Hoon’s) office. The X-ray revealed a capsule containing a college entrance exam question that Do Hyuk had swallowed. However, this evidence alone wasn’t enough to prove Tae Jun was responsible for his death. Jae Na, the only witness, was crucial to uncovering the truth.

Convinced that Tae Jun is hiding Jae Na, Jae Yi and Seul Gi join forces to find her. A still captures a tense standoff between Jae Yi and Tae Jun, heightening curiosity. Other images show Seul Gi watching their conversation, hinting at a shift in their relationship and adding to the intrigue.
