
Kim Kang Hoon, Go Chang Suk, Jo Woo Jin, And More Navigate The World Of Go In Upcoming Film "The Match"
Upcoming film “The Match” has unveiled new stills of its supporting cast!
Directed by Kim Hyung Joo of “The Sheriff in Town,” “The Match” tells the story of the rivalry between legendary Go player Cho Hun Hyun (Lee Byung Hun) and his protégé Lee Chang Ho (Yoo Ah In). After losing to his student, Cho Hun Hyun embarks on a quest to reclaim his title.
Go Chang Suk stars as Cheon Seung Pil, a professional Go player and journalist who understands the highs and lows of the game.
Meanwhile, Hyun Bong Sik plays Lee Yong Gak, a pro player who witnessed the legendary mentor-student bond between Cho Hun Hyun and Lee Chang Ho.
Moon Jung Hee takes on the role of Jung Mi Hwa, Cho Hun Hyun’s wife and closest companion. She shares a home with both her husband and his protégé, offering unwavering support.
Kim Kang Hoon plays the young Lee Chang Ho, a Go prodigy recognized as a genius from an early age. Even during intense battles of wits with his mentor, the determined Lee Chang Ho refuses to back down.
Jo Woo Jin, who starred alongside Lee Byung Hun in “Inside Men,” will make a special appearance as Nam Gi Chul, a professional Go player and Cho Hun Hyun’s longtime rival. When Cho Hun Hyun struggles with a slump after losing to his protégé, Nam Gi Chul offers him guidance.
“The Match” is set to hit theaters on March 26.
