Watch: Shin Min Ah, Park Hae Soo, Lee Kwang Soo, And More Are Entangled In An Ill-Fated Relationship In Teasers For “Karma”
The upcoming drama “Karma” has unveiled a striking poster and an intense teaser featuring Shin Min Ah, Park Hae Soo, Lee Kwang Soo, Lee Hee Joon, Kim Sung Kyun, and Gong Seung Yeon!
Based on a webtoon, “Karma” is a crime thriller that depicts the story of six characters entangled in an ill-fated relationship which they cannot escape from even if they want to.
Park Hae Soo portrays a man who accidentally witnesses a mysterious accident and, as a result, makes an irreversible deal that changes his life. Shin Min Ah stars as Ju Yeon, a doctor who has lived with lifelong trauma due to a tragic childhood incident. Lee Hee Joon plays a desperate man who invests in cryptocurrency using private loans, hoping to amass a fortune but instead falls into crippling debt. Kim Sung Kyun takes on the role of Gil Ryong, a man who, after unfairly losing his job, accepts a dangerous job involving a large sum of money—only to find himself trapped in an inescapable fate. Lee Kwang Soo stars as a successful doctor of Korean medicine who runs a private hospital in Gangnam and appears to have everything he desires, while Gong Seung Yeon plays his charming girlfriend, Yu Jeong.
The released poster, with the drama’s title boldly written, shows the six main characters standing with a red thread connecting them. The tangled red thread, with no clear starting point, symbolizes their inescapable and twisted fates, sparking curiosity about how their ill-fated relationships will unravel.
The accompanying teaser trailer introduces the six main characters—”The Witness” (Park Hae Soo), Ju Yeon, “The Debtor” (Lee Hee Joon), Gil Ryong, “Glasses” (Lee Kwang Soo), and Yu Jeong—as solemn music plays in the background.
The teaser hints at the characters’ inescapable fates, heightening curiosity about how each of them becomes trapped in a never-ending cycle of misfortune. In one chilling scene, Ju Yeon declares, “You have to die for this to end,” further deepening the intrigue around the extent of their intertwined fates.
As the teaser progresses, the complexity of their relationships makes it nearly impossible to predict who is connected to whom and through what incidents. The characters’ emotions escalate as they reach their breaking points, amplifying the tension and building even greater anticipation for the drama.
