BTS's Jimin Ties PSY's Billboard Record For Longest-Charting K-Pop Solo Song On Hot 100
BTS’s Jimin has tied PSY’s record on Billboard’s Hot 100!
On March 4 local time, Billboard revealed that Jimin’s solo song “Who” was now spending its 31st week on the Hot 100 (Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States), where it rose to No. 33.
“Who” is now tied with PSY’s 2012 hit “Gangnam Style” for the longest-charting song by a K-pop soloist in Hot 100 history. Even including groups, only one song has spent more weeks on the Hot 100: BTS’s “Dynamite.”
Additionally, Jimin’s solo album “MUSE” extended its own record as the longest-charting K-pop solo album to date on the Billboard 200, where it spent its 32nd consecutive week on the chart at No. 123.
“MUSE” also remained No. 1 on the World Albums chart this week, marking its sixth non-consecutive week at the top of the chart.
Meanwhile, “Who” climbed back up to No. 22 on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart, in addition to rising to No. 24 on both the Global 200 and the Global Excl. U.S. chart.
Finally, Jimin spent his 39th week on Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 81, extending his own record as the K-pop soloist with the most weeks on the chart to date.
Congratulations to Jimin!
