Lee Sae On Is Both Ambitious Joseon Man And Present-Day Master Chef In New Drama 'Heo's Diner'

Upcoming drama “Heo’s Diner” has unveiled new stills of Lee Sae On ahead of its premiere!

Based on the web novel of the same title, “Heo’s Diner” is a fantasy rom-com about the events that unfold when Heo Gyun (EXO‘s Xiumin), a figure from the Joseon era, travels 400 years into present time and unintentionally starts a restaurant.

In the drama, Lee Sae On takes on the dual roles of Lee Yi Chum, an ambitious man from the Joseon era, and Lee Hyuk, the youngest-ever Korean Master Chef in present day. Lee Hyuk is a clever and cold character driven by ruthless ambition, willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. To him, cooking is merely a means to wealth and fame, and he shows little remorse in his actions.

The newly released stills show Lee Sae On in both his Joseon-era and present-day roles. In one photo, Lee Yi Chum is dressed in a red robe, exuding a commanding presence with a sharp gaze that leaves viewers wondering about his true thoughts and motivations.

Another still features Lee Hyuk beaming with pride after receiving an award as a Master Chef, while yet another captures him resting his chin on his hand, deep in thought. This moment has a subtle tension, leaving viewers curious about the ambition behind his seemingly gentle smile.

“Heo’s Diner” is set to premiere on March 24 at 5 p.m. KST.
