Yook Sungjae Flaunts His Charms In New Historical Drama 'The Haunted Palace'

SBS’s upcoming drama “The Haunted Palace” has shared a sneak peek of Yook Sungjae’s character!

“The Haunted Palace” is a fantasy historical romantic comedy that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an Imugi. In Korean folklore, an Imugi is an imaginary creature that spends a millennium in water and is able to transform into a dragon upon acquiring Yeouiju (magical jewel).

Yook Sungjae takes on a dual role as Yoon Gap, a royal librarian, and Gang Cheol Yi, an evil Imugi spirit that possesses him and also happens to be the first love of Yeori (WJSN’s Bona).

In the newly released still below, Yoon Gap exudes a captivating presence with his handsome looks. True to his role as a nobleman who steals the hearts of women in the city, his deep gaze and gentle smile are enough to make viewers’ hearts flutter.

In contrast, the subsequent images showcase a sharp and intelligent side of the royal librarian, drawing attention with a completely different charm from the soft and gentle aura previously revealed.

Yook Sungjae expressed his thoughts, saying, “This is a drama where you can experience a variety of flavors. I think I’ll be able to show a surprising twist as Kang Cheol takes over the restrained and disciplined character of Yoon Gap.”

“The Haunted Palace” is scheduled to premiere in April. Check out a teaser for the drama here!
