GOT7's Jinyoung Finally Reveals His Identity To Roh Jeong Eui In "The Witch"
“The Witch” has shared a glimpse of GOT7’s Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Eui’s long-awaited encounter from its next episode!
Based on “Moving” author Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “The Witch” is a mystery romance about a woman who distances herself from the world due to tragedy and a man who refuses to give up on her.
Spoilers
On the previous episode of “The Witch,” Lee Dong Jin (Jinyoung) and Park Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui) finally spoke to one another for the first time as delivery driver and customer. However, Dong Jin always wore a helmet when interacting with her, obscuring his face and making it difficult for her to recognize him.
After suffering numerous accidents and injuries while making deliveries to Mi Jeong, Dong Jin was able to learn more about the mysterious laws of death that surrounded her. Then, at the very end of the episode, Dong Jin found himself in a dangerous situation where he spent nearly 10 minutes within 5 meters of Mi Jeong on a bus. Noticing signs of danger like a thunderstorm and spikes poking out of the vehicle next to the bus, Dong Jin ultimately opened the bus window to escape.
Although he managed to get out of the bus, Dong Jin lost his hat in the process—baring his face to Mi Jeong and the other passengers who were watching him. To his surprise, Mi Jeong then called out to him, revealing that she knew his name. In order to avoid being electrocuted, Dong Jin decided to put his faith in statistics and jump off the bridge into the Han River, where it was statistically improbable that he would be hit by lightning.
In newly released stills from the drama’s next episode, Dong Jin and Mi Jeong finally come face to face with Dong Jin’s identity revealed. During their many encounters up until now, Dong Jin always kept his face hidden under a helmet—but now that Mi Jeong can see who he is, her eyes well up with tears as she becomes visibly emotional.
Meanwhile, Dong Jin smiles warmly at Mi Jeong, piquing curiosity as to why he’s finally decided to approach her as himself and what he has to say to her.
The drama’s production team commented, “Up until now, Dong Jin has hidden his identity while watching over Mi Jeong, and Mi Jeong has shared brief everyday encounters with Dong Jin without knowing who he was. This rooftop encounter, in which Dong Jin and Mi Jeong face each other for the first time as themselves, will become an important turning point in the story.”
They went on to add, “Park Jinyoung and Roh Jeong Eui’s emotional acting will bring the drama to its immersive climax. We hope that you’ll tune in with us.”
The next episode of “The Witch” will air on March 9 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
