“Streaming” is a thriller starring Kang Ha Neul as Woo Sang, a popular streamer who uncovers a clue in an unsolved serial murder case and begins tracking the killer while broadcasting the investigation live.

The newly released video offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the film’s production, including interviews with Kang Ha Neul and director Jo Jang Ho.

Explaining why he chose to star in the film, Kang Ha Neul shares, “A crime thriller combined with live streaming? I was intrigued and read the script in one go. I just kept wanting to know what happens next.”

Regarding the film’s fictional streaming platform WAG, director Jo Jang Ho explains, “It’s a world of fierce competition, designed to push streamers to do whatever it takes to stay on top.”

Describing his character, Kang Ha Neul remarks, “Woo Sang is someone whose confidence has grown into arrogance.” He expresses his excitement about playing such a unique role, stating, “I wondered if I would ever get a chance to play a character like this again.”

Director Jo Jang Ho adds, “The line, ‘Only I can take him down,’ sums up the character of Woo Sang—he’s full of bravado. I thought Kang Ha Neul would be able to showcase a side of himself that we haven’t seen before.”

One of the film’s biggest draws is the intensity and realism conveyed through the live-streaming format. Director Jo Jang Ho highlights a key difference from similar films, stating, “The entire broadcast in the film is presented as a real-time live stream.” Kang Ha Neul further emphasizes, “The main focus was making it feel like an actual live broadcast. We constantly thought about how to keep viewers engaged without making them feel bored.”

Due to the film’s structure, which required multiple long-take scenes, the cast and crew had to work with exceptional precision. Director Jo Jang Ho notes, “Kang Ha Neul was completely immersed—he boldly experimented with scenes whenever he felt inspired,” raising expectations for his outstanding performance in “Streaming.”

The film’s commitment to realism is evident in its meticulous and detailed production design. Kang Ha Neul praises the set, saying, “It was exactly how I imagined it. I felt like if I were Woo Sang, I could actually broadcast from that space.” Everything—from the handcrafted real-time chat comments to the voiceovers of donation messages—was carefully designed to create an immersive experience.

Kang Ha Neul encourages viewers to watch the film, stating that “Streaming” brings a new format and style, offering an unprecedented level of realism. He expresses confidence that viewers will appreciate its fresh and immersive approach.
