Choi Ye Na, Han Sung Min, Jung Min Gyu, And Eunchan Talk About Their Roles And Warm Set Atmosphere In “Villains Everywhere”
Choi Ye Na, Han Sung Min, Jung Min Gyu, and TEMPEST’s Eunchan expressed their affection and appreciation for their upcoming drama “Villains Everywhere”!
“Villains Everywhere” is a comedy about the everyday lives of two spirited sisters, Oh Na Ra (Oh Na Ra) and Oh Yoo Jin (So Yoo Jin), and their eccentric families.
Choi Ye Na plays Goo Won Hee, a lodger at Oh Na Ra’s household. Han Sung Min takes on the role of Seo Yi Na, the eldest daughter of Oh Na Ra and Seo Hyun Chul (played by Seo Hyun Chul). Jung Min Gyu plays Yi Na’s younger brother Seo Young Hoon, while TEMPEST’s Eunchan portrays Song Kang, the eldest son of Oh Yoo Jin (So Yoo Jin) and Song Jin Woo (played by Song Jin Woo).
Choi Ye Na shared her excitement about her role, saying, “When I first read the script, I was drawn to the character of Goo Won Hee because she was so charming and had many similarities to myself. The director also encouraged me to naturally embody Won Hee rather than simply acting her out.” She further revealed her dedication to the role, stating, “To fully become Won Hee, I also learned to play musical instruments. I had never seen a contrabass in my life, so it was quite overwhelming at first, but I took lessons to learn the correct posture and fingering techniques. Since Won Hee is also skilled at playing the piano, I took lessons whenever I had the chance and focused on practicing. She’s such a multi-faceted character, and I believe viewers will really enjoy her.”
Han Sung Min described her character Seo Yi Na using three keywords: “MZ,” “Bouncy Ball,” and “Love.” She explained, “I think Yi Na is the most ‘MZ’ character in the show. She’s trendy, has a strong personal style, and her personality is unpredictable—like a bouncy ball. From an outsider’s perspective, her actions may seem random, but she actually follows a clear set of values.” She added, “At the core of everything she does is love. Even though she appears bold and free-spirited, she’s ultimately a character full of affection for those around her.”
Regarding key points to anticipate in the drama, Jung Min Gyu and Eunchan pointed to the drama’s strong family dynamics and fresh, engaging episodes. “If you focus on the relationships between the characters, you’ll be able to understand their thoughts and actions better and get even more immersed in the story,” they shared. Eunchan also expressed his appreciation for his co-stars, saying, “Filming together has been so much fun and always feels new. Whenever I had questions about how to improve a scene, I turned to Oh Na Ra, So Yoo Jin, Seo Hyun Chul, and Song Jin Woo for advice. They were always so warm and supportive, and I learned a lot from them.”
Choi Ye Na also talked about the supportive atmosphere on set, saying, “The senior actors took such great care of me that I almost felt like I didn’t deserve [so much kindness]. Oh Na Ra, in particular, not only guided me in acting but even incorporated gestures from my song ‘NEMONEMO’ into her ad-libs, making me feel loved both as Won Hee and as Ye Na.”
Han Sung Min expressed her deep attachment to the show, saying, “I hope ‘Villains Everywhere’ will become something that brings a smile to people’s faces and even offers comfort, much like cherished memories of school days.”
Jung Min Gyu added, “I want this drama to be a bundle of laughter that brings joy to viewers with its funny moments.” Lastly, Choi Ye Na and Eunchan sent their warm wishes, saying, “We hope your 2025 is filled with only happiness and good things. Please show lots of love and support for the drama!”
“Villains Everywhere” is set to premiere on March 19 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
