Stray Kids Breaks Record For K-Pop Act With Most RIAA Gold Album Certifications In U.S.

Stray Kids has just made K-pop history in the United States!

On March 11 local time, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) awarded Stray Kids’ “合 (HOP)” an official gold certification for selling over 500,000 units in the United States.

With this latest certification, Stray Kids has broken the record for the most RIAA gold album certifications of any K-pop artist in history. The group is now the first K-pop act ever to have five different albums certified gold by the RIAA, having previously gone gold with “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” “ROCK-STAR,” “ATE,” and “MAXIDENT.”

Including singles, Stray Kids now boasts nine RIAA gold certifications overall. (The group has gone gold with four singles in the United States: “God’s Menu,” “MANIAC,” “Back Door,” and “Thunderous.”)
