Ha Jung Woo Becomes An Amateur Golfer With High Stakes In Upcoming Film “Lobby”
Upcoming film “Lobby” has released new stills featuring Ha Jung Woo!
Directed by Ha Jung Woo, “Lobby” follows the story of Chang Wook (Ha Jung Woo), a startup CEO who has spent his life focused solely on research. However, when faced with the challenge of securing a 4-trillion-won (approximately $2.8 billion) government contract, he is forced to step into the high-stakes world of lobbyist golf for the first time.
The newly released stills feature Chang Wook, who previously had no interest in golf, squeezing in swing practice throughout his daily routine as he prepares for lobbyist golf. The images also show him finally stepping onto a golf course, drawing attention.
His use of everyday objects such as a broom and an umbrella to practice makes his journey relatable—not just for golf fans but also for those unfamiliar with the sport. The stills hint at the challenges ahead, sparking curiosity about how far he will go to succeed in lobbyist golf.
One image captures a key moment featuring Chief Choi (Kim Eui Sung), a powerful political figure, getting covered in sand after a bunker shot while Chang Wook watches—a scene that teases both the unpredictable nature of the game and the humor woven into the film’s high-stakes lobbying drama.
Ha Jung Woo shared insights into his preparation for the role, stating, “I didn’t practice golf separately for my role as Chang Wook, a beginner golfer. Instead, I watched old videos of myself as a novice and tried to recreate my form from back then.” His approach adds to the anticipation of how he will bring the rookie golfer character to life.
“Lobby” is set to hit theaters on April 2.
