Mun Ka Young Softens Toward A Worn-Out Choi Hyun Wook In “My Dearest Nemesis”

Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook will share a heartfelt moment in “My Dearest Nemesis.”

Based on a popular webtoon, tvN’s “My Dearest Nemesis” tells the love story of a man and woman who first meet via their online game characters during their school days, then meet again in real life as boss and employee 16 years later.

Mun Ka Young stars as Baek Su Jeong, a hard-working and talented team leader in the strategic planning division at Yongseong Department Store. Choi Hyun Wook plays Baek Su Jeong’s new boss Ban Ju Yeon, a chaebol heir who also happens to be her embarrassing first love from years ago.

In the previous episode, Baek Su Jeong and Ban Ju Yeon officially began their secret office romance. However, their happiness was short-lived as Su Jeong soon discovered Ju Yeon’s true identity—her “cringe history” first love and her sworn gaming nemesis, the Black Dragon. At the end of the episode, Su Jeong confronted him with a cold expression and asked, “You’re the Black Dragon, aren’t you?” leaving viewers eager to see how their relationship unfolds.

Amid this rising tension, newly released stills hint at a deepening emotional connection between the two. One image shows Su Jeong gazing tenderly at a sleeping Ju Yeon, who appears completely unaware of her presence, lost in a deep slumber. His noticeably worn-out face adds to the sense of melancholy. In another still, Su Jeong tenderly supports his head as it droops in his sleep, her lingering emotions subtly conveyed through her fingertips.

The production team shared, “With only four episodes left, Episode 9 will delicately portray Su Jeong and Ju Yeon’s emotional struggles, as well as Su Jeong’s evolving feelings toward her first love, the Black Dragon. Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook’s emotionally charged performances will fully immerse viewers, so please stay tuned.”
