KBS2’s upcoming drama “Pump Up the Healthy Love” has shared a sneak peek of its first script reading!

“Pump Up the Healthy Love” is a rom-com drama about Do Hyun Joong (Lee Jun Young), a passionate and determined gym owner, who radically transforms the lives of his overly anxious gym members.

The script reading was attended by directors Park Joon Soo and Choi Yeon Soo, screenwriter Kim Ji Soo, and cast members Lee Jun Young, Jeong Eun Ji, Lee Mi Do, Lee Seung Woo, Park Sung Yeon, Lee Ji Hye, Hong Yoon Hwa, Lee Da Eun, Lee Sang Jin, Kim Kwon, and Jo Jung Chi.

Lee Jun Young fully embraced his role as Do Hyun Joong, an energetic and fitness-obsessed gym owner. He not only captured the character’s passion for exercise but also left a strong impression with playful gym-themed greetings like “Good muscle morning,” “Muscle bye,” and “What the fat!”—highlighting the health club’s signature humor.

Sharing his excitement, Lee Jun Young said, “I think I’ll be able to tell a variety of heartfelt and meaningful stories about the body through this character, and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Jeong Eun Ji shines as Lee Mi Ran, a clueless gym newbie who brings plenty of laughs. With her natural comedic timing, she fully embodies a woman who joins the gym to move on from a breakup—only to face even bigger challenges.

Teasing the show’s appeal, Jeong Eun Ji shared, “The story is filled with ups and downs and answers the question ‘Can exercise alone change a person’s life?’ I hope many people tune in.”

Lee Mi Do, Lee Seung Woo, Park Sung Yeon, Lee Ji Hye, and Hong Yoon Hwa add even more excitement with their dynamic roles as gym employees and members. Lee Mi Do stands out as Rosa, a bold veteran staff member, while Lee Seung Woo charms as Alex, the gym’s lovable mascot.

Meanwhile, Park Sung Yeon, Lee Ji Hye, and Hong Yoon Hwa—dubbed the gym’s “Witch Trio”—deliver an unforgettable performance, showcasing perfect chemistry and keeping the energy high with their comedic timing.

Other actors such as Lee Da Eun, Lee Sang Jin, Kim Kwon, Jo Jung Chi, and more also made a strong impression, each bringing their own unique charm.

Even during the script reading, the cast’s teamwork was evident, building anticipation for how it will all come together on screen. With a mix of humor and heartfelt moments, the upcoming premiere is sure to captivate audiences.
