Park Min Young In Talks To Lead Korean Remake Of Japanese Mystery-Thriller Drama
Park Min Young may be returning to the small screen with a new drama!
On March 18, JTBC Entertainment News reported that Park Min Young will take on the lead role in the upcoming drama “Siren” (working title).
In response, a representative from her side stated, “It is one of the projects she has received an offer for and is currently reviewing.”
“Siren” takes its name from Greek mythology, where sirens are half-bird, half-woman creatures who lure sailors to their doom with their enchanting songs. The drama will be a Korean adaptation of the 1999 Japanese series “Kôri no sekai” (also known as “Ice World”), which follows an insurance investigator who becomes entangled in a mysterious case surrounding a female teacher’s death. The Korean version is expected to be reimagined to suit local audiences.
Meanwhile, Park Min Young is currently wrapping up filming for her upcoming drama “The Confidence Man KR” (working title).
