Han Ye Ji Excels At Studying But Struggles With Social Skills In "Hospital Playlist" Spin-Off "Resident Playbook"
tvN’s “Resident Playbook” has shared a sneak peek of Han Ye Ji’s character!
A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,” “Resident Playbook” will depict the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.
Han Ye Ji will play Kim Sa Bi, an academically gifted first-year OBGYN (Obstetrics and Gynecology) resident at Yulje Medical Center. In medical school, Kim Sa Bi ranked first in the national exam—and as a result, the hospital staff is abuzz with excitement for her arrival. A model student who is eager to learn, Kim Sa Bi enthusiastically pores over patients’ charts and happily races to morning reports everyday.
However, even though Kim Sa Bi is an undisputed ace when it comes to studying, there are some things that can’t be taught in books. As she enters the working world for the first time, Kim Sa Bi unexpectedly finds herself struggling with the parts of hospital life that require social skills rather than knowledge.
In newly released stills from the upcoming drama, Kim Sa Bi goes through a rough day at the hospital. Initially, the resident starts out bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as she diligently takes notes, and she later wears a sunny smile as she holds up a consent for surgery form. But before long, Kim Sa Bi looks crestfallen and distressed as she sits in the hospital, suggesting that something upsetting has just taken place.
“Resident Playbook” will premiere on April 12 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
