
Yoo Hae Jin, Park Ji Hoon, Jeon Mi Do, And More Begin Filming For New Historical Film
Yoo Hae Jin and Park Ji Hoon’s new film “The Man Who Lives With the King” (literal title) has officially begun filming!
“The Man Who Lives With the King” will follow the story of King Danjong, the sixth king of the Joseon Dynasty, after his exile to Yeongwol, Gangwon Province. Helmed by the popular director Jang Hang Jun, this will be the director’s first venture into the historical genre.
Boasting a fresh ensemble, the film features Yoo Hae Jin, Park Ji Hoon, Yoo Ji Tae, Jeon Mi Do, and Kim Min. Special appearances by Lee Jun Hyuk and Park Ji Hwan add to the excitement, building anticipation for a high-quality production.
Yoo Hae Jin stars as the village chief of the remote Gwangcheon, promising another captivating performance that reinforces his reputation as a trusted actor. Park Ji Hoon plays a dethroned king exiled to the secluded village, sharing fresh on-screen chemistry with Yoo Hae Jin.
Meanwhile, Yoo Ji Tae takes on the role of the era’s most powerful figure, showcasing a new side of his acting. Jeon Mi Do plays the court lady accompanying the exiled king, while Kim Min portrays the village chief’s son.
Director Jang Hang Jun’s first historical film is already drawing attention. Known for his versatility across genres, his latest project sparks curiosity about the emotions he will bring to audiences.
