NJZ (NewJeans) Announces Legal Action Against Malicious Posts

NJZ will be taking legal action against malicious posts.

On March 24, NJZ released an official statement through their legal representative SHIN & KIM LLC.

This is SHIN & KIM LLC., representing Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

Currently, the circulation of false information, malicious slander, and insulting posts against our clients, which include minors, have reached a serious level. In response, we are continuously monitoring all online communities and social media platforms including TheQoo, Instiz, Blind, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, DC Inside, FMkorea, and Daum Cafe.

We are also working with relevant authorities to identify the authors of posts and comments exploiting anonymity, and we will take all possible civil and criminal actions against acts such as the circulation of false information, defamation, insults, and more.

When reporting malicious comments, please submit the URL of the post and attach a PDF file to the provided email address. Thank you.

Earlier on March 21, the Seoul Central District Court granted ADOR’s request for an injunction to prohibit the NewJeans members from carrying out independent activities under the name NJZ. Although the group ultimately performed at ComplexCon, they performed under the name NJZ and also announced that they will be temporarily halting all activities, prompting ADOR to request to meet with the members.
