Yoo Ah In And Lee Byung Hun Are Student And Master Locked In Fierce Rivalry In New Film 'The Match'

Upcoming film “The Match” has unveiled new stills, showcasing rivalry between a master and his protégé!

Directed by Kim Hyung Joo of “The Sheriff in Town,” “The Match” tells the story of the rivalry between legendary Go player Cho Hun Hyun (Lee Byung Hun) and his protégé Lee Chang Ho (Yoo Ah In). After losing to his student, Cho Hun Hyun embarks on a quest to reclaim his title.

The newly released stills offer a closer look at Cho Hun Hyun and Lee Chang Ho’s heated confrontation during a Go match. In one shot, Lee Chang Ho is seen deep in thought as he plans his next strategic move, while Cho Hun Hyun gazes intently at the Go board, weighing his options carefully.

More stills capture a warmer side of their relationship, showing Cho Hun Hyun teaching a young Lee Chang Ho (Kim Kang Hoon) and sharing a meal together. With Cho Hun Hyun offering a genuine smile, the scene highlights their bond outside of the competitive world of Go, emphasizing their mentor-student dynamic.

Another still features two players engaged in a tense Go match, with Cheon Seung Pil (Go Chang Suk) serving as the match judge. The atmosphere is filled with seriousness, offering a glimpse into the intensity of professional Go competitions.

“The Match” is set to hit theaters on March 26.
