Watch: Kim Hye Ja's Afterlife Takes A Dark Turn In Teaser For Upcoming Drama "Heavenly Ever After"
JTBC’s upcoming drama “Heavenly Ever After” has unveiled an intriguing new teaser!
“Heavenly Ever After” is a transcendent romance starring Kim Hye Ja as Lee Hae Sook, a woman who reunites with her husband in heaven after death.
The teaser begins by contrasting heaven’s peaceful beauty with eerie and chilling glimpses of hell. People plunge into boiling lava, their ghostly figures flickering as their agonized screams echo. When rough hands grab Lee Hae Sook and try to pull her off a cliff, she lets out a short scream—then wakes from her terrifying nightmare.
Meanwhile, the director of the Heaven Support Center (Chun Ho Jin) says in voice-over, “Even Hae Sook herself was unsure whether she deserved to be in heaven.” For her, every day in heaven is filled with doubt and anxiety.
As people are seen facing judgment for their sins, the director describes the merciless nature of hell: “A prison of my own making, built from irreversible mistakes, with no door for forgiveness.”
Towards the end of the teaser, tension rises as a mysterious train carrying Lee Hae Sook shuts its doors despite the desperate calls of her husband Go Nak Joon (Son Suk Ku). Is she an unqualified outsider who mistakenly arrived in heaven? And where is the train taking her?
