Gong Myung And Kim Min Ha Reunite After Their Worlds Have Changed In New Drama "Way Back Love"
TVING’s upcoming series “Way Back Love” has unveiled new stills capturing Kim Min Ha and Gong Myung’s past and present!
Based on a novel, “Way Back Love” is a fantasy romance drama starring Kim Min Ha as Hee Wan, a 24-year-old woman who has isolated herself from society after losing the will to live. A week before her death, her childhood friend and first love Ram Woo (Gong Myung) appears before her as a grim reaper.
The newly released stills highlight unforgettable moments between Ram Woo and Hee Wan, spanning their school days to their present, dreamlike reality. In their youth, the quiet and reserved Ram Woo was often caught off guard by Hee Wan’s playful antics. In one amusing shot, Ram Woo looks flustered as Hee Wan appears to be plotting something mischievous while holding a marker. Another image captures Hee Wan playfully snatching Ram Woo’s name tag and flashing a coy smile while pulling off a name-swapping prank.
Six years later, Ram Woo and Hee Wan’s expressions tell a different story. Now a grim reaper, Ram Woo greets Hee Wan with an ever-present smile. At a festival glowing with fireworks, there is a stark contrast between Ram Woo’s bright grin and Hee Wan’s somber expression. Hee Wan’s startled reaction to Ram Woo’s actions also hints at just how much their relationship has changed.
The first two episodes of the drama will introduce Ram Woo in his new form as a grim reaper and depict his unexpected reunion with Hee Wan. Their surprise meeting will spark flashbacks to their school days, where, despite their opposite personalities, they begin to grow closer after getting tangled up in an April Fools’ prank. As Ram Woo gets swept into Hee Wan’s whirlwind of mischief, viewers can expect plenty of lighthearted moments and laughter.
Episodes 1 and 2 of “Way Back Love” will be released on April 3.
