With only four episodes left until the finale, here are some of the most heart-fluttering moments between So Baek Ho and Kim Mi Kyung:
Their intense apology battle
Kim Mi Kyung and So Baek Ho’s denial phase was anything but typical. They constantly thought about each other, felt unfamiliar emotions like jealousy, and struggled with their growing attraction.
What started as a prank by Mi Kyung led to Baek Ho performing a full-blown shamanistic ritual. Their “apology battle” afterward was just as intense—Mi Kyung gave Baek Ho a rabbit-shaped apple as an apology, to which he responded with a coffee truck. Things escalated further into a dramatic car wash showdown. The two were completely unaware that their constant bickering had turned into something deeper.
Their heartfelt love confessions
So Baek Ho was caught off guard by how much Kim Mi Kyung affected him—so much so that he even forgot an important business agreement. Meanwhile, Mi Kyung was equally confused by Baek Ho’s hot-and-cold behavior, drawing close one moment and pulling away the next. The turning point came when Baek Ho boldly confessed, “You’re someone I want to cross the line for.” His raw honesty—admitting that he had lost his composure and focus ever since he started liking her—left Mi Kyung overwhelmed with emotion.
When Mi Kyung blamed herself for the situation, Baek Ho firmly reassured her, “It’s because I like you, Kim Mi Kyung.”
Mi Kyung, too, realized that her feelings for Baek Ho outweighed her resentment over his decision to fire her. When she finally admitted, “I like you so much that nothing else matters,” viewers couldn’t contain their excitement.
Baek Ho’s adorable way of cheering Mi Kyung up
So Baek Ho doesn’t hold back when it comes to showing his affection for Kim Mi Kyung. During one of their dates, Mi Kyung was preoccupied with potatoes, frustrated that she couldn’t understand why a new U.S. variety was considered superior to Maru—a special variety developed in their own lab. Baek Ho, ever patient and gentle, comforted her.
But it was his unexpected words that truly caught Mi Kyung off guard. He admitted that while he had decided to use Maru for potato chip production, he wasn’t sure whether it was a rational business decision or if it was because of his feelings for her.
Seeing how much Baek Ho had softened, Mi Kyung teased, “Why have you suddenly gone all mushy? Are you a soft peach?” But Baek Ho wasn’t done yet. Determined to lift her spirits, he surprised her with a teddy bear gift and sealed the moment with a forehead kiss—sending viewers’ hearts soaring.
So Baek Ho’s playful teasing that left Mi Kyung flustered
So Baek Ho’s unconscious flirting has Kim Mi Kyung completely under his spell. He has completely figured out the best strategy to win her over—by simply being himself.
When Mi Kyung couldn’t accept the fact that her childhood friend and her younger brother were dating, she stormed out in frustration. Baek Ho took her to a hotel to calm her down, but just when Mi Kyung was bracing herself for what might happen next, he completely threw her off—choosing to leave instead.
His unexpected move made Mi Kyung’s heart waver once again. Just when she thought she had him figured out, his kindness stirred emotions she wasn’t ready to face.
