5 Best Thriller Mystery K-Dramas To Watch After "The Witch"
After gracing our screens for five weeks straight, “The Witch” has finally come to an end. While Jinyoung didn’t uncover the entire mystery behind Roh Jeong Eui‘s witch rumor, he managed to unravel the logic behind it using his expertise in statistics and data mining, delivering a fairytale-like satisfying finale. But even the most fulfilling endings leave a sense of longing because they mean the story has ended.
So, if you’re looking for more from “The Witch” main leads, check out this list on K-dramas starring GOT7’s Jinyoung, and Roh Jeong Eui will be starring in multiple K-dramas this year that I am excited to watch.
In the meantime, here are five of the best thriller-mystery K-dramas that will keep you on the edge of your seat, just like “The Witch” did for the past five weeks.
“He is Psychometric”
The story of “He Is Psychometric” revolves around Lee Ahn, played by Jinyoung, who, after losing his parents in a fire, develops the ability to read people’s or objects’ pasts by touching them. While he has yet to fully control his powers, he still chooses to use them to catch criminals. Soon, his path crosses with Yoon Jae In (Shin Ye Eun), who has a painful past of her own. The two team up with Lee Ahn’s foster guardian, a prosecutor and an investigator, to solve the case that changed Lee Ahn’s life; the fire that killed his parents and ultimately connected him to Jae In.
“He Is Psychometric” is one of those K-dramas that lingers in your mind for days, even weeks, after finishing it. Throughout the drama, Lee Ahn constantly tugs at viewers’ heartstrings through his layered character and emotional journey. Plus, if you want to see Jinyoung in a similar thriller-mystery romance K-drama, then “He Is Psychometric” is your best bet, with a little more romance than “The Witch.”

“The Devil Judge”
“The Devil Judge” paints a dystopian picture of South Korea, where, much like the real world, the general public has lost trust in its leaders. However, unlike our society, this fictional world has found a radical solution; turning justice into a public spectacle. At the center of it all is Head Trial Judge Kang Yo Han, played by Ji Sung, who runs a brutal courtroom reality show, sentencing and punishing criminals in front of the entire nation. While some see him as a hero in the fight for justice, others question his true motives. Among the skeptics is Jeong Seon Ah (Kim Min Jung), an ambitious foundation director determined to uncover Yo Han’s secrets and challenge his authority.
With new cases introduced every episode or two, “The Devil Judge” is an episodic thriller that, while entertaining, also forces viewers to confront uncomfortable questions about justice and morality. The show masterfully explores the nuances of vigilante justice versus systemic justice, and the performances, particularly by the protagonists and antagonist (Jinyoung), make “The Devil Judge” a standout in the thriller genre.

“Flower of Evil”
Cha Ji Won (Moon Chae Won) has everything anyone could wish for — a loving husband, a sweet daughter, and a fulfilling job as a homicide detective. However, her world begins to crumble when she starts investigating a series of serial murders from 15 years ago. Suspicion creeps in when her once-loving husband, Baek Hee Sung (Lee Joon Gi), starts looking like a stranger, making her question whether the man she has trusted all these years is hiding a dark secret.
“Flower of Evil” is a gripping mystery drama that keeps viewers questioning everything and everyone. The constant twists and turns keep the audience on the edge of their seats. One of the drama’s strongest aspects is the relationship between the main leads, husband and wife, and how the plot tests their marriage, forcing them to reevaluate their reality and trust in one another.

Rookie cop Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) is dedicated to justice, but his life takes a shocking turn when a psychopathic serial killer terrorizes the nation. Obsessed with understanding psychopathy, he embarks on a dangerous journey, blurring the lines between good and evil. As he uncovers terrifying truths, Ba Reum must confront his own identity in a suspenseful mystery that asks, “What if we could identify psychopaths in advance?”
While “Mouse” may not be a drama you’d want to rewatch, in terms of storytelling, very few deliver this level of twists. With its intricate plot, emotional intensity, and suspenseful execution, it keeps viewers on edge from start to finish.

“Inspector Koo”
“Inspector Koo” is a dark comedy thriller centered around Koo Kyung Yi (Lee Young Ae), a former police officer-turned-insurance investigator with an obsessive love for solving mysteries. She isn’t motivated by justice but by the sheer thrill of cracking cases. Her latest challenge? A cunning college student and serial killer, Song Yi Kyung (Kim Hye Joon), who stages murders as accidents to collect insurance payouts.
While all of the other thriller mystery K-dramas on this list are on the darker side of the spectrum, “Inspector Koo” is a balanced blend of dark humor and suspense that keeps viewers hooked with its eccentric protagonist, clever storytelling, and unpredictable twists. The cat-and-mouse dynamic between Kyung Yi and Yi Kyung adds layers of psychological intrigue, making the chase an exhilarating must-watch.
