"Yumi's Cells" To Return With Season 3 + Kim Go Eun In Talks To Reprise Her Role
The production of “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3 has been confirmed!
On March 31, an industry insider revealed that “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3 is being produced three years after the conclusion of Season 2, with Kim Go Eun set to reprise her titular role as Yumi.
In response to this, the production company Studio Dragon stated, “It is true that we are producing Season 3. We offered Kim Go Eun to play the role of the protagonist Yumi, and she is currently reviewing.”
Kim Go Eun’s agency BH Entertainment also commented, “It is a project she received an offer for and is currently reviewing her offer.”
Season 3 is expected to feature Yumi’s final romantic partner Sun Rok, whom fans of the original webtoon have been eagerly waiting for, further heightening anticipation for the series.
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, “Yumi’s Cells” tells the story of an ordinary office worker named Yumi (Kim Go Eun)—from the point of view of the many brain cells in her head controlling her every thought, feeling, and action. Following the success of Season 1, the second season also achieved high viewership ratings and has been loved by fans all over the world.
