Lee Bong Ryun, Lee Hyun Kyun, Son Ji Yoon, And Lee Chang Hoon Are Medical Professors In 'Resident Playbook'

tvN’s upcoming drama “Resident Playbook” has unveiled a sneak peek of Lee Bong Ryun, Lee Chang Hoon, Son Ji Yoon, and Lee Hyun Kyun in their respective roles!

A spin-off of the hit series “Hospital Playlist,” “Resident Playbook” will depict the realistic and relatable hospital lives, growth, and heartwarming friendships of OBGYN residents at the Jongro branch of Yulje Medical Center.

The newly released stills introduce the professors of the hospital’s obstetrics and gynecology department. Lee Bong Ryun takes on the role of Seo Jung Min, the most famous professor in the obstetrics department. As a rising star among the faculty, she is both an inspiring role model that residents admire and an intimidating figure whom they fear and want to avoid.

Lee Chang Hoon plays Ryu Jae Hwi, a professor who joined the hospital at the same time as Seo Jung Min. Known for his calm and composed demeanor, he never hesitates to offer kind words of encouragement, often moving his students with his warmth. However, because of his difficulty with facial recognition, he often fails to recognize the residents he sees daily, unintentionally hurting their feelings.

Son Ji Yoon will add tension to the drama as Gong Ki Sun, a professor who keeps residents on edge with her unpredictable mood swings.

Finally, Lee Hyun Kyun plays  Jo Joon Mo, the “Jekyll and Hyde” of the gynecology department. Known for always wearing an annoyed expression and grumpy tone of voice, he is the professor that residents try to avoid the most. While he is a gentleman toward his patients, he is notoriously short-tempered with his residents.

“Resident Playbook” will premiere on April 12 at 9:10 p.m. KST.
