The upcoming film “The Old Woman With the Knife” has released a sneak peek of Yeon Woo Jin’s character!
“The Old Woman With the Knife” follows the intense showdown between Hornclaw (Lee Hye Young), a legendary assassin in her sixties, and Bullfight (Kim Sung Cheol), a mysterious killer who has spent his life hunting her down.
Yeon Woo Jin, known for his signature blend of gentle charisma, plays Dr. Kang, a veterinarian who rescues Hornclaw and disrupts the ruthless world of killers. After witnessing her secret one night, he becomes entangled in a deadly game.
As someone who unsettles Hornclaw’s world, Dr. Kang sparks emotions in the seasoned assassin that she has never felt before. Even when faced with danger, he grapples with a moral dilemma—protect her secret or save himself.
Director Min Kyu Dong praised Yeon Woo Jin’s performance, stating, “The psychological battle he portrays without ever wielding a knife is a key part of the film.”
Known for bringing depth to every role, Yeon Woo Jin fully embodies Dr. Kang, serving as both a catalyst in the conflict between Hornclaw and Bullfight as well as a man caught in the crossfire—drawing audiences deeper into the story.
“The Old Woman With the Knife” is set to hit theaters on April 30.
