
Watch: Lee Byung Hun Celebrates His New Film "The Match" Surpassing 1 Million Moviegoers
“The Match” is off to a promising start at the Korean box office!
On April 5, the Korean Film Council announced that as of that morning, “The Match” had reached a total of 1,056,921 moviegoers. The film was originally released on March 26, meaning that it took less than 11 days to hit the 1 million mark.
In celebration of “The Match” reaching the milestone, Lee Byung Hun shared a video of himself personally thanking moviegoers through brush calligraphy.

Based on a true story, “The Match” depicts the rivalry between legendary Go champion Cho Hun Hyun (Lee Byung Hun) and his gifted protégé Lee Chang Ho (Yoo Ah In). After losing to his student, Cho Hun Hyun embarks on a quest to reclaim his title.
