tvN’s “The Potato Lab” is a romantic comedy that centers on a rural potato research institute. Lee Sun Bin stars as Kim Mi Kyung, a researcher whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, while Kang Tae Oh plays So Baek Ho, a cold pragmatist who joins the institute as its new director.

On the previous episode of “The Potato Lab,” So Baek Ho learned the shocking truth that he was the one who had ended Kim Mi Kyung’s career at Wonhan Retail six years ago. Despite being terrified that he would lose her, Baek Ho broke Mi Kyung’s heart by confessing this devastating truth to her, leaving viewers wondering whether the couple could salvage their relationship.

Newly released stills from the drama’s next episode offer a glimpse of the aftermath of Baek Ho’s confession—and the resulting changes in the couple’s dynamic.

When Baek Ho grabs Mi Kyung’s wrist with a sorrowful expression, a conflicted Mi Kyung looks back at him with mixed feelings flickering across her face. Although Baek Ho was the one who helped Mi Kyung get over her painful past, she can’t help feeling betrayed by the knowledge that he was the one who destroyed her and caused her years of pain.

The next set of photos capture Baek Ho desperately trying to win Mi Kyung back. When the two of them meet in the potato storage area, Baek Ho—who has a lot he wants to say to Mi Kyung—gazes determinedly into her eyes. Even though Mi Kyung responds coldly and unleashes a flurry of nagging remarks his way, Baek Ho is unswayed.

A final photo shows Baek Ho embracing Mi Kyung after having fallen to the ground, piquing curiosity about the unexpected situation in which the couple will find themselves.

The drama’s production team teased, “Episode 11, which airs today, will depict a shaken Kim Mi Kyung and So Baek Ho. Will So Baek Ho be able to hold onto Kim Mi Kyung’s heart, and what will his final strategy be to achieve a happy ending? Please look forward to finding out.”
