Lee Jung Eun Displays Unwavering Loyalty To Kim Hye Ja In New Drama “Heavenly Ever After”
JTBC’s upcoming drama “Heavenly Ever After” has unveiled a sneak peek of Lee Jung Eun’s character!
“Heavenly Ever After” is a transcendent romance starring Kim Hye Ja as Lee Hae Sook, a woman who reunites with her husband in heaven after death. Unlike the other residents of heaven—including her husband Go Nak Joon (Son Suk Ku), who has chosen to return to the 30-something version of himself—Lee Hae Sook makes the unusual choice to keep her 80-year-old appearance.
Lee Jung Eun plays Lee Young Ae, a character who looks up to Lee Hae Sook as both a parent and a mentor. To protect Hae Sook, she switches into a tough, no-holds-barred mode. But when it comes to love and men, she shows a surprising side, quickly falling for them.
New stills highlight Lee Young Ae, the loyal confidant and successor of the seasoned Lee Hae Sook from the Ilsoo gang, exuding a powerful presence. Her bold dragon-patterned shirt, gold necklace, and unique hairstyle immediately grab attention. Her intense gaze reveals a fierce charisma as if she’s ready to take charge at any moment.
A special training session of Lee Young Ae learning Lee Hae Sook’s signature umbrella defense technique has also been captured. Lee Young Ae, who often faced tough situations with market vendors alongside Lee Hae Sook, is now preparing for independence. Her serious expression suggests that a separation between the two is imminent.
Lee Jung Eun is ready to showcase a strong woman-to-woman dynamic with Kim Hye Ja. She explained, “I wanted to join because of the story told by Director Kim Seok Yoon and Kim Hye Ja. Lee Young Ae is a character who was abandoned by her parents and views her boss Lee Hae Sook, who took her in, as everything. Her happiness is tied to Hae Sook’s happiness.” This glimpse into the unique relationship between the two characters has sparked even more curiosity.
“Heavenly Ever After” is set to premiere on April 19 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
