“The Old Woman With the Knife” follows the intense showdown between Hornclaw (Lee Hye Young), a legendary assassin in her sixties, and Bullfight (Kim Sung Cheol), a mysterious killer who has spent his life hunting her down.
The first poster features Hornclaw, a legendary assassin who is both feared and revered by others, with a scar on her face. The poster reads, “I exterminate rotten humans.”
The next poster shows Bullfight, the mysterious killer who opposes Hornclaw. The poster’s chilling caption, “You’ll never be able to protect them. I’m going to kill them,” reveals Bullfight’s twisted emotions and hints at his intense confrontation with Hornclaw.
Another poster shows Dr. Kang (Yeon Woo Jin), the veterinarian who saves Hornclaw’s life. His line, “I still have no regrets,” reveals his steadfast and warmhearted nature, even as he’s pulled into danger after discovering Hornclaw’s secret.
The next image features Ryu (Kim Moo Yeol), a skilled killer and Hornclaw’s mentor. His determined expression, paired with the caption “Let’s stop making things we need to protect now,” builds tension and raises questions about his fate.
The final poster shows Shin Si Ah as the younger version of Hornclaw. Her eyes are filled with both anger and sorrow, and the caption, “I’ll be where I want to be” heightens anticipation for her role in the story.
The accompanying trailer not only captures the individual backstories of the characters but also the complex relationships between them. It opens with Hornclaw’s words, “Don’t forget. Our job is to exterminate malignant bugs—it’s a sacred task,” revealing her firm belief in her mission. The teaser introduces Bullfight, Hornclaw’s rival, who lurks around her, provoking her with cruel and ruthless methods. The teaser also shows Dr. Kang, who is shown treating Hornclaw’s wounds.
