Park Bo Gum, Suzy, And Shin Dong Yup Confirmed To Reunite For 7th Year As Hosts At The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards
Park Bo Gum, Suzy, and Shin Dong Yup will be reuniting once again as hosts at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards!
On April 9, it was confirmed that the three stars will be hosting this year’s Baeksang Arts Awards.
Since the 50th Baeksang Arts Awards, Shin Dong Yup hosted each year of the ceremony except for in 2017 (which was hosted by Park Joong Hoon), making it his 11th year as a host for the ceremony. This year is even more significant as he is nominated for the Best Male Entertainer award in the TV/Drama category. Following his wins at the 30th and 50th ceremonies, he is now aiming for his third trophy.
Suzy marks a monumental year as she celebrates her 10th anniversary as the host of the Baeksang Arts Awards. She is the first host in Baeksang history to reach this milestone without missing a single year. Suzy first formed her connection with Baeksang when she swept the Best New Actress awards in both the TV and film categories. Since hosting the 52nd Baeksang Arts Awards in 2016, she has been a constant presence for the past decade.
Park Bo Gum returns for his seventh stint as a Baeksang host this year. Since his debut as an MC at the 54th Baeksang Arts Awards, he showcased remarkable hosting skills. After taking a brief hiatus during the 57th ceremony due to his military service, he made a loyal return to the Baeksang stage for the 58th ceremony as his first post-discharge activity. Park Bo Gum has also been nominated for Best Actor in the TV/Drama category for his role in Netflix’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines.” As both an MC and a nominee, all eyes are on Park Bo Gum to see what he will bring to the stage this year.
This year’s ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 5 at 8 p.m. KST and will be broadcast live via JTBC. Check out the full list of nominees here!
