Watch: Netflix Sets Premiere Date For “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room” In Gripping New Teaser

The second season of “The Devil’s Plan” is officially coming this May!

On April 9, Netflix confirmed that “The Devil’s Plan: Death Room” will premiere on May 6.

Helmed by PD Jung Jong Yeon of “The Genius,” “The Great Escape,” and “Girls’ High School Mystery Class,” “The Devil’s Plan” is a high-stakes survival game show where contestants from diverse backgrounds live together for seven days and compete in intense competition and mind-bending games to claim the title of the ultimate brain.

Previously, the new season has unveiled its 14 contestants: Lee Se Dol, Justin H. Min, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Kang Ji Young, Yoon So Hee, Seven High, Lee Seung Hyun, Jung Hyun Gyu, Choi Hyun Joon, Chuu, Kim Ha Rin, Park Sang Yeon, Son Eun Yoo, and Tino.

The newly released teaser offers a glimpse into the heightened stakes—most notably, the dramatic expansion of the “prison” twist from Season 1 into a full-fledged “prison ward.” The players’ shocked reactions—like “7 vs. 7?” and “There’s a deathmatch now?”—offer a glimpse into the game’s brand-new and more dangerous rules, adding to the hype around the show’s new subtitle, “Death Room.”

From Justin H. Min’s chilling smile as he says, “Friends? We’re not friends,” to Jung Hyun Gyu remarking, “You’re too loud—for someone so bad at this,” and Kim Ha Rin menacingly declaring, “Have to eliminate them all”—the players’ sharp psychological warfare and tactical mind games are expected to push the tension to new heights.

Producer Jung Jong Yeon shared, “The new season kicks off with the subtitle ‘The Devil’s Plan: Death Room.’ You’ll see how even small rule changes can dramatically impact the entire game. New characters and fresh conflicts await.”

Regarding the newly introduced prison ward, he added, “The prison ward will go beyond just being a punishment zone. It now serves as a class-based system that rivals the main living quarters. While players in the prison ward may cooperate to beat the other players living in the main quarters, they’ll also engage in fierce competition among themselves for survival and rise in their rank—creating a dynamic of ‘competitive collaboration’ that defines this season.”

“The Devil’s Plan: Death Room” will premiere on May 6.
