Watch: Kim Ji Yeon Develops Feelings For Yook Sungjae Possessed By An Evil Imugi In New Drama “The Haunted Palace”
SBS’s “The Haunted Palace” has unveiled another teaser video ahead of its premiere!
“The Haunted Palace” is a fantasy historical rom-com that delves into the tale of the Eight Feet Tall spirit that bears a grudge against the king, a female shaman who opposes it, and an Imugi (imaginary creature that is able to transform into a dragon upon acquiring a magical jewel).
The new video starts by highlighting the budding romance between Yoon Gap (BTOB’s Yook Sungjae) and Yeo Ri (WJSN’s Kim Ji Yeon). The couple shares a tender moment, holding hands and making promises for their future together. The video paints Yoon Gap as the ideal man—sweet, disciplined, and seemingly perfect for Yeo Ri.
However, the tone shifts when Yoon Gap becomes possessed by Imugi Gang Cheol. As his behavior turns erratic and crude, Yeo Ri worries that his actions will tarnish Yoon Gap’s once-spotless reputation. Gang Cheol, unwilling to listen to Yeo Ri’s warnings, threatens her, stating, “I’m the evil of the evil that humans fear the most.”
Despite the tension, a strange connection begins to form between Yeo Ri and Gang Cheol. A voice-over narrates, “Are you wavering? Afraid you might fall completely for Gang Cheol?” Even Gang Cheol seems to be affected by his growing feelings, as he muses, “I’m not that guy Yoon Gap, so why does my heart keep getting stirred for no reason?” The teaser ends with Gang Cheol pulling Yeo Ri closer, heightening curiosity about whether their complicated dynamic will evolve into an unexpected romance.
