Shin Min Ah, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk, And Lee Se Young Confirmed To Star In New Fantasy Romance Drama
It’s official—Shin Min Ah, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Se Young will be starring in a new drama together!
Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “The Remarried Empress” is a fantasy romance that tells the story of Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. When her husband Sovieshu, the emperor of the Eastern Empire, cheats on her and divorces her, Navier gets married to Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire.
Shin Min Ah will play the role of Navier, the empress of the Eastern Empire who is known for her sharp wits and elegance. Ju Ji Hoon will play Emperor Sovieshu, a symbol of absolute power and Navier’s husband. Lee Jong Suk will take on the role of Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire who harbors a secret, while Lee Se Young is confirmed to play Rashta, a former slave who dares to covet the Empress’s throne.
The series will be directed by Jo Soo Won, who helmed “I Hear Your Voice,” “Pinocchio,” and “30 But 17,” and the script will be penned by Yeo Ji Na and Hyun Choong Yeol, who co-wrote “The Uncanny Counter.”
The production team shared, “We plan to faithfully recreate the original world that fans across the globe have fallen in love with. With striking mise-en-scène, grand scale, and narrative completeness, this series will set a new standard for the romance fantasy genre and captivate viewers.”
