Jeong Eun Ji Transforms Into A Food-Loving Gym Rookie In “Pump Up The Healthy Love”
KBS’s upcoming drama “Pump Up the Healthy Love” has shared a deeper look into Jeong Eun Ji’s new role!
“Pump Up the Healthy Love” is a rom-com drama about Do Hyun Joong (Lee Jun Young), a passionate and determined gym owner who radically transforms the lives of his overly anxious gym members. Jeong Eun Ji plays Lee Mi Ran, an assistant manager at a travel agency who joins the gym to get over a recent breakup.
In newly released stills, Jeong Eun Ji fully transforms into Mi Ran, a gym rookie who dives headfirst into fitness after heartbreak. Swayed by trainer Do Hyun Joong’s promise to change both her body and her life, Mi Ran signs up for intensive training—only to find herself facing a series of unexpected challenges.
The stills also show Mi Ran’s deep love for food. Whether she’s passionately describing delivery menus with wide-eyed excitement or closing her eyes in blissful satisfaction with food in her hand, her foodie side is on full display. With her life thrown into chaos after meeting the “trainer from hell” Hyun Joong, curiosity is rising over how Mi Ran’s story will unfold—and how her wild and unpredictable journey will take shape.
Notably, Jeong Eun Ji underwent real-life physical transformations for the role, alternating between gaining and losing weight to embody her character’s arc.
Bringing sincerity and charm to every scene, Jeong Eun Ji is expected to deliver a compelling performance that captures both the humor and emotional depth of Mi Ran’s journey. As her character works to rebuild her life from the inside out, anticipation is high for this refreshingly honest take on self-love, healing, and second chances.
“Pump Up the Healthy Love” is set to premiere on April 30 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
