Heo Joon Ho Joins Choi Min Sik In Talks For New Drama Based On Spanish Play
Heo Joon Ho may be joining forces with Choi Min Sik for the upcoming drama “The Boy in the Last Row”!
On April 14, TenAsia reported that Heo Joon Ho has been offered a role in the upcoming series and is currently leaning toward accepting.
In response to the report, a representative from Heo Joon Ho’s agency Story J Company shared, “Heo Joon Ho has received an offer to appear in ‘The Boy in the Last Row’ and is currently reviewing it positively.”
Based on the Spanish play of the same name by Juan Mayorga, “The Boy in the Last Row” tells the story of Moon Oh, a Korean literature professor who once dreamed of becoming a writer but is now living a dull, uneventful life while feeling defeated and helpless. One day, he finds himself fascinated by the writing of Yi Kang, a student who always sits in the last row of his classroom, and his once-forgotten ambitions and yearnings are reawakened.
Choi Min Sik is currently in talks to play the lead role of Moon Oh. Heo Joon Ho has reportedly been offered the role of Moon Oh’s former university classmate—a celebrated author with a pivotal role in the story.
Choi Hyun Wook is also said to be in discussions to play Yi Kang, though his representative has yet to comment on the report. Meanwhile, Moon So Ri and Jin Kyung are reportedly being considered for the role of Moon Oh’s wife, a psychological counselor.
“The Boy in the Last Row” will be helmed by “Our Blues” and “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” director Kim Kyu Tae, while the screenplay will be written by “My Mother, the Mermaid” writer Jang Myung Woo.
