JTBC’s upcoming drama “Heavenly Ever After” has shared a new teaser ahead of its premiere!

“Heavenly Ever After” is an upcoming transcendent romance starring Kim Hye Ja as Lee Hae Sook, a woman who reunites with her husband in heaven after death. Unlike the other residents of heaven—including her husband Go Nak Joon (Son Suk Ku), who has chosen to return to the 30-something version of himself—Lee Hae Sook makes the unusual choice to keep her 80-year-old appearance.

The teaser opens with an elderly Go Nak Joon (Park Joon) passing away. As he gazes at the wife he’s leaving behind, he asks someone, “Will you bring Hae Sook when her time comes?” showing that even in his final moments, his thoughts remain solely with her. Before long, a mysterious voice calls for Lee Hae Sook to join the afterlife.

Despite all she’s endured in life, death is a new and unfamiliar experience. “Am I dead? Where do I go now?” she asks, her voice tinged with both fear and wonder. A guide replies, “Judgment is automated these days. You’ll know if you’re headed to heaven or hell—your body will respond on its own.”

As she boards the afterlife train, Hae Sook begins to understand. When the train halts at Hell Station, passengers are pulled outside against their will. Yet to her own surprise, Hae Sook finds herself arriving at Heaven Station. When asked what age she’d like to be in heaven, Hae Sook quietly but confidently replies, “Eighty.” Even then, she can’t help but ask, “My husband… he made it to heaven too, right?”

Though physically weary, her heart is full of anticipation as she makes her way to meet her beloved husband. Arriving at a house, she rings the doorbell. A voice responds, “Who is it?” and her face lights up with joy, setting the stage for a heartwarming reunion.
