Lee Je Hoon Shines As An Ambitious Employee With Strong Work-Life Boundaries In New Film “Big Deal”
Upcoming film “Big Deal” has unveiled its first stills of Lee Je Hoon’s character!
“Big Deal” follows the story of Pyo Jong Rok (Yoo Hae Jin), a chief financial officer who treats his soju company like family, and Choi In Bum (Lee Je Hoon), a profit-driven employee at a global investment firm. Set during the 1997 IMF financial crisis, the two clash over the future of Korea’s beloved national liquor.
Newly released character stills show Choi In Bum as he moves to take control of Gukbo Soju, revealing his ambitious side.
In one image, In Bum appears confident and focused, perfectly capturing the essence of a rising star in the business world. In contrast, another photo shows him looking slightly out of place and awkward, holding bottles of soju at a restaurant.
In Bum initially struggles to understand Jong Rok’s unwavering loyalty to the company and its tradition of after-work soju gatherings. However, as the two begin to spend more time together, their relationship sparks curiosity about how In Bum may change through their growing bond.
A character who lives by the motto, “Work is work, and life is life,” Lee Je Hoon explained, “In Bum knows what he wants, but he’s always torn and uncertain.” He added, “He wasn’t familiar with soju at first, but after meeting Jong Rok, he starts to enjoy it.” His comments hint at the emotional journey and unexpected transformation In Bum will undergo throughout the film.
“Big Deal” is set to hit theaters on June 3.
