Choo Young Woo And Shin Si Ah In Talks To Lead Korean Remake Of Hit Japanese Romance Film

Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah may star in the upcoming Korean remake of the popular Japanese romance film “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight”!

On April 17, Sports Chosun reported that the two rising stars have been cast in the upcoming remake, with filming set to begin this June.

In response to the report, Choo Young Woo’s agency J,WIDE-COMPANY stated, “He is positively reviewing the offer to star in the remake.” Meanwhile, Shin Si Ah’s agency ANDMARQ also shared, “She has received the offer and is currently in discussions.”

Based on the novel of the same name by Ichijo Misaki, “Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight” tells the poignant love story between a high school girl suffering from anterograde amnesia—where her memory resets every time she falls asleep—and a boy living a colorless life. The original 2022 Japanese film became a box office hit in Korea, attracting over 1.21 million viewers and becoming the highest-grossing Japanese romance film in the country.

Choo Young Woo has reportedly been offered the role of Kim Jae Won, an emotionally numb boy battling a hereditary heart condition. Living with the constant prospect of death, he drifts through life without purpose—until he meets Han Seo Yoon.

Shin Si Ah is said to be in talks to play Han Seo Yoon, a bright and hopeful girl who, despite suffering from anterograde amnesia, radiates positivity. As she miraculously begins to recover her memories, Jae Won becomes a vivid part of her story, setting the stage for a tender yet bittersweet romance.

The remake will be helmed by Kim Hye Young, who recently directed the film “IT′S OKAY!”

“Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight” is slated to begin filming in June. Stay tuned for more updates!
